When you want to tranfer your configuration file or other files to/from your Vyatta device, SCP is a secure way to do it from a Windows machine.  WinSCP is a tool we use at Vyatta.   It works well and is very simple to use.

When installing, the software you will be asked which interface you want.  The Norton Commander interface will present two side-by-side panes, one for your local file system and one for the remote machine.
